About Investment
Philosophy
|
In general, clients will
find that we emphasize low turnover and high
quality when implementing the following investment philosophy for
their assets:
EQUITIES Equities are used as our primary vehicle for
achieving long-term growth of capital and income. Generally, the
companies which are on our list are leaders in their industry and
have strong finances, superior management and good prospects for
long-term earnings and dividend growth.
FIXED INCOME Bonds are used to generate income and to
provide safety rather than to generate trading profits.
Accordingly, bonds are primarily selected from United States
Treasury and tax exempt state and municipal obligations with high
credit ratings and are normally "laddered" and held to
maturity.

Services
Trusts
|
Founded in 1977, Nichols &
Pratt, LLP is managed by its partners who act as trustees for
individuals and families. As trustees, we assume responsibility for the
investment and custody of trust assets, record keeping for tax and
probate purposes, and the exercise of discretion as to payments of
income or principal.
Each client is unique. Because
the individual partners of the firm act as trustees, it is
possible for us to establish a personal connection with each family that
enables us to personalize every decision we make. Generally,
relationships are created to last for generations.
