LEONARD
PATENAUDE serves as a trustee and also acts as lead Investment
Counsel to the individual, fiduciary and institutional advisory
clients of Nichols & Pratt Advisers, LLP. He joined the
firm at its inception and has worked closely with both founders
over the years in shaping the firm’s growth and direction.
A
graduate of The New England Conservatory of Music, Leonard obtained
the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA) in 1981, and
was a CFA examination grader for the Institute of Chartered Financial
Analysts at the University of Virginia 1982-1984. For many years,
Leonard directed the CFA Candidate preparation program in Boston
and taught in its classes.
Leonard
was President of the Boston Security Analysts Society in 1988-1989
and served on the Society’s Board of Directors from 1983 to 1992.
He was also a Boston delegate to the Financial Analysts Federation
(FAF), a national organization for securities analysts which subsequently
became the Association for Investment Management & Research
(AIMR), of which he is currently a member.
